Join me on my journey to understand better the world we share with the animals on this planet. I swapped screens for (wildlife) scenes. Now I’m chasing raw, unposed moments, bringing you along for the ride. This is the joy that feeds my soul.
I am a passionate wildlife lover at heart, though for many years my time behind the lens was limited to stolen moments between flights, meetings, and deadlines. Whenever I could, I would grab my camera and head off to explore. I have given that all up. Now I capture the kind of moments that make you feel connected to this beautiful, natural world and the wildlife around us.
With a piece of my wildlife art I hope to inspire you to explore more, find your joy, have no regrets and to choose to be more kind to our planet.
Born in South Africa, based in Scotland, I spent much of my life travelling for work, capturing what I could along the way. It all started when my gran helped me choose my very first camera. An avid photographer herself, she taught me the joy of freezing unseen stories and fleeting moments in time.
Photography became my passport to the natural world, to cultures far and wide, and to the awe of the animal kingdom. My heart has always belonged to Africa, my passion to wildlife. I love capturing candid, unposed images that feel real whether it’s a lion’s quiet stare or a dung beetle busy on his way.
For years, though, I lived the corporate life, leading teams in a cybersecurity firm, working long hours in front of a screen. It was challenging, but the thrill was gone. I found myself daydreaming about travel, about Africa, about places I hadn’t yet seen. And one day, I realized I couldn’t wait until retirement to chase those dreams.
So I packed in the corporate job, took my savings, and set out to find stories and make memories. I don’t know exactly where this journey will lead, but I do know this, life is too short not to follow the call of adventure.
Here you’ll find my eclectic mix of fine art wildlife photography, images that tell stories from around the world. I hope they bring you closer to the wild, to the wonder, and to the human behind the lens.
