It was raining. It was miserable. These two puffins were sitting, fixated on the sky above. With their catch in their beaks, they sat motionless. I always wondered what they were scanning for in the skies. Was it the seagulls they were weary of? Or was there something else they could see that my human eyes couldn't.

Taken on the Isle of May, off the east coast of Scotland. One of the lesser frequented isles of Puffins by people, which make it a lovely location to spend time with these charismatic little sea birds.
